BREAKING: Trump Says We Have A Peace Deal With Iran…#
President Trump said Saturday that the United States and Iran have largely reached a peace deal following coordinated discussions with multiple Middle East leaders.
Trump posted on Truth Social that an agreement has been substantially negotiated, subject to final approval between the United States, Iran, and several other countries. The announcement came after what Trump described as productive calls with leaders from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, and Bahrain.
Trump stated that the Strait of Hormuz will be opened as part of the deal’s terms. The proposed agreement addresses what Trump called “all things related to a Memorandum of Understanding pertaining to PEACE” and involves multiple aspects still being finalized.
Trump also indicated he separately spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying the conversation “likewise, went very well.” He added that final details would be announced shortly.
According to The Washington Times, sources close to negotiations said the U.S. and Iran are expected to announce the finalized draft proposal by Sunday afternoon. A draft was agreed to early Saturday morning, the source told the publication.
Top negotiators including Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalifbaf, Vice President J.D. Vance, special envoy Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner have approved the draft, the source said. The proposal has been sent to leaders of both nations for final approval.
If finalized, the deal would convert what has been a six-week truce into a permanent peace agreement. Trump previously indicated that additional strikes remained possible despite the ongoing negotiations.
