Many fans would give anything to marry former One Direction star Louis Tomlinson, but one particularly bold fan may have come closer to achieving that dream—without Tomlinson even realizing it!
The unusual story began earlier this year while Tomlinson was on tour promoting his Faith In The Future album, performing around the world and meeting fans. During his stop in Jakarta, the “Bigger Than Me” singer had a memorable encounter with a fan, who turned out to be TikTok user @ladycryalot. She had come well-prepared for their brief meeting.
In a TikTok post, the fan shared the surprising outcome of her encounter: “So I just got back from Faith in the Future in Jakarta, and I lost my voice because I was having fun, I was having so much fun,” she said. “And I went there as a single woman, right? I don’t have any boyfriend, I don’t have any fiancé or something like that, but I got back from there as a married woman.” She then proclaimed, “I’m a married woman. I’m married to Louis Tomlinson. I’m his lawfully wedded wife.”
According to the fan, she had Tomlinson sign what she claimed was a marriage certificate featuring a photo of the two of them. Tomlinson did seem to catch on that this was no ordinary piece of paper, reportedly asking her, “What’s this, some kind of declaration of marriage, is it?” But, perhaps with a bit of humor, he went ahead and signed it. He even joked that he might need to return to Jakarta more often “if his wife wanted him to.”
