Tragedy on BR-060: Mother and three children die in accident in Mato Grosso do Sul
In a tragic accident on BR-060, near the city of Campo Grande, capital of the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul, a 29-year-old woman and her three children — aged four months, two years and eleven years — lost their lives after a collision between two cars and a truck on Sunday night.
The accident triggered a massive mobilization of rescue teams and caused profound social shock, especially on social media, where friends and family expressed their grief and dismay.

The teenager suffered leg fractures and suspected internal bleeding, while the father suffered multiple injuries and remains hospitalized in serious condition.
The driver of the vehicle that caught fire was taken to a hospital in Sidrolândia, also in serious condition.
According to the Civil Police, the accident occurred around 6:30 p.m., when a sedan invaded the opposite lane, colliding head-on with the family car that was heading towards Campo Grande.
