Austrian extreme stuntman Felix Baumgartner has tragically died in a freak accident.
Famously known as the first person to break the sound barrier without using vehicular power, Baumgartner has sadly died aged 56 in Italy in a paragliding accident.
He crashed into a hotel swimming pool in Porto Sant’Elpidio after a “sudden onset of illness” while flying on a motored paraglider.
After losing control of the aircraft, the stuntman died instantly.
