He’s going home with you tonight, lucky little soul, thanks to our brave and wonderful firefighters. These beautiful human beings go to any length to save lives—human or animal. Thank you for a job well done! ❤️

Last week, a building in Santa Monica caught fire. When firefighters arrived, they found a puppy named Nalu unconscious and barely breathing. Owner Crystal Lamirande’s apartment was engulfed in flames, and Nalu’s chances looked slim.

Firefighter Andrew Klein acted quickly. He performed mouth-to-snout CPR on the puppy, refusing to give up even when it seemed Nalu was gone. Nearly 20 minutes later, the puppy began breathing on his own and regained consciousness. Neighbors then took him to a nearby animal hospital.

Klein said, “I’ve been involved in many animal rescues that didn’t have happy endings. But Nalu’s story was different.” Thanks to the firefighters’ heroic efforts, the fire was extinguished quickly without any injuries.
