When Kate Middleton revealed her cancer diagnosis in March last year, it sent shockwaves through the nation. The Princess of Wales received an outpouring of support as people prayed for her recovery and awaited her return to public life.

In September, Kate shared that she had completed chemotherapy, calling it an “incredibly tough” year. She described cancer as “complex, scary, and unpredictable,” saying it brought her face to face with vulnerability and gave her a new perspective.

Though now cancer-free, Kate hasn’t resumed full royal duties. She’s made select appearances, including Trooping the Colour in both 2023 and 2024, but has not returned to a full public schedule.

A source close to the royal family said Kate and Prince William are now more focused than ever on family. “Cancer impacts your perspective… family and their children continue to be at the center of their universe,” they shared.
