In a moment that has warmed hearts across the country, 14 nurses at a US hospital have found themselves preparing for an extraordinary shared journey — motherhood. The staff members at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital’s Women and Infants Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin, are all pregnant at the same time, in what the hospital has described as a “beautiful coincidence” just ahead of Mother’s Day 2025.

The rare and heartwarming announcement was made during National Nurses Week, a time typically reserved for recognising the tireless dedication of healthcare professionals. This year, however, the spotlight has turned to the nurses themselves — not just as caregivers, but as soon-to-be mothers.

Amy Bardon, the centre’s director, said the shared pregnancies have created a unique and meaningful bond among the women, who have long helped others bring life into the world.

“This is an incredible full-circle moment for many of our nurses, some of which are about to become first-time moms themselves,” Bardon said. “I am so excited for each of our nurses and the journey they are embarking on.”
